Did you know that Perth has a total sprinkler ban over winter, to help save our water supplies whilst our gardens are getting watered from the heavens above.
The total sprinkler ban runs from today, 1st June through to the last day of winter, the 31st August.
Don’t forget to head out to your reticulation controller and set it to OFF to turn your sprinklers off during winter. If you continue watering your garden with your reticulation system during the total sprinkler ban, you may end up with a fine from the Water Corporation. You can however, hand water your lawn and gardens if they need it.
If you are looking to install a new garden or lawn, you are still able to apply for an exemption during winter to allow your new gardens / lawn to get the watering they need to get them established.
