Mr Retic, Your Local Retic Expert

Mr Retic is your local retic expert. We have been attending to client retic repairs and installs in Perth’s Northern Suburbs for over 10 years.

Mr Retic was founded in 2013, by Bede and Vanessa Anderson. They ran Mr Retic until life circumstances meant they needed to sell the business they had built.  In March 2022, Dave and Melissa Ahlquist became the new owners of Mr Retic, and have hit the ground running!

As residential property investors, Dave and Mel have had a range of investment properties over the years. With a property portfolio managed by local property managers, they understand the importance of property maintenance and keeping gardens in tip top condition. They have also had a variety of industry experience over the years, from trades, corporate and local family business. Bringing their combined expertise together, Dave and Mel are the perfect combination of customer service, on-site trades, and administration. Both Dave and Mel have extensive experience in training roles, understanding that education is an important role in all industries, especially the residential irrigation industry.

on the job training & experience

Whilst working under Andrew at Brighton Reticulation, Dave honed his retic skills he developed whilst fixing retic at his own properties. Furthermore, Dave stepped in to manage Brighton Reticulation whilst Andrew and Danelle were travelling Australia in their caravan for 6 months. In this time, Andrew was so impressed with Dave’s workmanship and character that he kept Dave on for another 8 months as a sub-contractor, whilst also encouraging Dave to take the leap of faith and go out on his own and run his own successful reticulation business.

Dave developed a passion for the irrigation industry whilst working with Andrew. Needless to say, when Mr Retic came up for sale, it was a perfect way for Dave to bring his energy and expertise into a retic business of his own. In addition to having an established client base, Dave also sub-contracts back to Brighton Reticulation from time to time.

servicing perth's northern suburbs

Mr Retic is based in the far northern suburbs of Perth, limiting our service area to the northern suburbs of Perth. Keeping our service area limited means that we can be your local retic expert, spend less time driving to and from jobs, and can get to more of our customers, quicker.

When you call us you will speak with Dave. Dave will also be the one who completes the work at your home, investment property or business. We are intentional about keeping Mr Retic a small operation to ensure all work is done to the highest standard. However, if the need arises, we will use a sub-contractor.

Dave is very particular about focusing on the job at hand, doing the job the best way possible and as close to industry best practice as possible. If you do call us, please leave a message for Dave to call you back if you reach his voicemail. Alternatively you can email us, use our contact form or connect through our socials, Facebook or Instagram.

Mr Retic is a member of IAL (Irrigation Australia), is a Waterwise Specialist with the Water Corporation and holds a Working with Children’s Check & has a Recent Police Check. Fun fact: Mr Retic is a trained Volunteer Firefighter.
